Certificate of Origin

If you are a member of the Burnsville Chamber of Commerce in need of a Certificate of Origin (CO), we are here to help. A CO is a document required by certain foreign governments declaring the goods in an international shipment to be of a certain origin.

A CO certifies the country where the goods originated. Even though many commercial invoices include a statement of origin, some countries require that a second certificate be completed and acknowledged by a chamber of commerce. The documents are used by customs offices to determine the appropriate duties to be assessed with respect to products being imported and, at times, to determine whether a shipment may be legally imported.
