PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE TO-DOs
Minnesota’s Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) program launches January 1, 2026. That may sound far off—but key deadlines are already approaching. Here’s what employers need to do before January 1:
- Choose state plan or private insurance
- Create your employer account (if using state plan)
- Submit census of all W-2 employees
- Update payroll for deductions
- Review LTD/STD overlap
- Prepare handbook updates
- Plan and implement your required employee notifications by December 1, 2025.
