Ryan Peterson| City Engineer/Natural Resources Director give us an long awaited update.
County road 42 open
Great news on County Road 42; both directions are now open. By the end of the evening many of the traffic control barrels will be gone. There will still be off-peak single lane closures primarily in the Westbound direction through next week. They are planning on being down to punch-list like items by June 30th.
MnDOT plans on resurfacing both directions of TH 13 from west of County Road 5 in Burnsville where the project limits of the TH 13/CR 5 interchange project left off to Hwy 101 in Savage. This project is expected to start the week of July 10th with project set up and off highway work and get going on the resurfacing of TH 13 the weekend of July 14th. The contractor is limited to single lane closures from 7 PM to 7 AM weekdays and is planning for four weekends with single lane closures from Friday night at 7 PM and being back to normal operations on 5 AM Monday morning. They also will be replacing the signal at TH 13/Washburn Avenue and making some modifications at the intersection to improve the southerly frontage road at Washburn Ave and make ADA improvements, sidewalk improvements for Americans with Disabilities, there as well. Weekend single lane closures that are currently scheduled are July 14-17, July 21-24, August 4-7 and August 11-14. Those weekends are subject to change based upon weather and contractor schedule.
