We are dedicated to driving growth and success through three core focus areas: Advocacy, Workforce Development, and Economic Development. Through strategic partnerships and programs, we help shape a vibrant and prosperous community.

Advocacy
We connect local business owners and representatives to learn about local, regional, state and federal public policy issues impacting Burnsville businesses. We also help ensure the business perspective is represented when elected and appointed officials who serve our city are making decisions. Events include:
- Chamber Day at the Capitol
- MN Session Priorities Dinner
- State of the City
- Burnsville Business Briefings
- Candidate Mixers and Forums (even years)
- Newly Elected Officials Welcome (even years)
Workforce Development
The Chamber started the Business Education Network to help narrow the workforce skills gap by bringing together local businesses and ISD191. Our focus is to strengthen tomorrow’s workforce by building a stronger talent pipeline for the employers. Initiatives and events include:
- Workplace Skills Certification
- Workplace Learning
- Online Student Job Fair
- Teacher Externships
- State of the District
- Manufacturers’ Month Celebration


Economic Development
At the core of the Chamber our goal is to create a vibrant and prosperous community in which to live, learn, play, stay, work and do business. Initiatives include:
- Grow MN! Business Retention Program
- Eat, Drink & Buy Local campaigns: Small Business Saturday, Holiday Season, Small Business Week.
- Small Business & Tourism Week celebration
- Manufacturers’ Month celebration
- Annual print Community Guide and Member Directory
